Design and i is a Derby based design studio, headed up by graphic designer and illustrator Martin Hyde. Design and i offer unique, creative graphic design and illustration for web and print, produced using the latest techniques. Our style of design is ideally suited to popular culture and life style businesses, and can provide corporate clients with the unique edge that they are looking for to stand apart from their competitors.

Design and i have clients throughout the UK and Europe, and have worked with them on a diverse range of web and print projects. Our ability to work across both web and print provides our customers with a consistent identity across all mediums. Our portfolio includes record sleeves, magazines, content managed web sites, Flash web sites, e commerce web sites, illustration, adverts, fashion artwork, logos and branding and much, much more. A little bit about the ‘i’ in ‘Design and i’

Lead designer Martin Hyde graduated with an MA with Distinction in 2004, and has been a full time designer and artist since then. Martins’ final MA project earned him a place in the final of the Europrix TTA Young Multimedia Designer of the Year 2004. Martin attended the award ceremony, held in the prestigious Military Museum in Vienna in November 2004, and made valuable contacts and friends who we still collaborate with.

As an artist Martin has had his work exhibited in a range of venues. His work includes the popular ‘Hair Days’ series and ‘I Fought The Law’. As an illustrator Martin specialises in character design. His characters include the ‘Dead Good Kids’ series and ‘We Come in Peace’. Please check out http://www.martinhyde.co.uk for more information.

Martin is also an associate lecturer at the University of Derby, teaching short courses in web design, logo design and vector illustration for the Creative Exchange. He also offers one to one tuition to graphic designers, illustrators and other creative businesses.
